All eyes were on Made in Chelsea favourite Millie Mackintosh as she married fiancé Professor Green at Babington House this week. But while most were checking out her amazing Alice Temperley wedding dress, BBx contributing writer Natalie Peck was fixated on her glowy complexion. Here’s more on the look and how to recreate it:
It’s not unusual to see the new Mrs Manderson with perfected, dewy skin – with a helping hand from skincare expert Elizabeth Caroline‘s facials for her big day – here are a few of my favourite products to try and recreate her look:
- Rosehip Oil is one of my all-time favourite skincare ingredients and Millie’s facialist revealed she had a special blend of essential oils applied to her skin to help balance it out for the wedding. I’ve found rosehip the best for helping all skin types overnight – try Natio’s Organic Rosehip Oil.
- A good moisture-retaining serum helps keep the skin looking plump and fresh in the morning. I rate Hydraluron Moisture Booster, it works to keep my combination skin hydrated without clogging it up.
- RMK’s Creamy Foundation is great on it’s own for faking a dewy finish but also works well mixed in with a tiny amount of liquid highlighter – try something like Benefit High Beam. Just remember that less is more, you don’t want to end up looking like a shimmery glitterball.
- Millie’s make-up artist Naoko Scintu kept it very natural with toned down eyes, cheeks and lips. No wedding on the horizon? It’s still a great look to recreate for an everyday glow.
