As long-time fans of Elizabeth Scarlett’s beautiful botanical designs we were so excited to team up with the London designer to offer Birchboxers the chance to upgrade their May Birchbox with a beautiful Elizabeth Scarlett Sleep Mask this month. But, when Elizabeth isn’t busy translating her passion for nature and mindfulness into jungle leaf or pineapple-adorned home and fashion accessories, you might just find her indulging her love of travel. Here’s a sneak peek into 24 hours with Elizabeth as she celebrates the bank holiday weekend in beautiful Saint-Tropez…
I’m at my happiest surrounded by nature and colour. Growing up with summers in the South of France, I was spoilt for choice. This morning, it was so refreshing to walk out of my bedroom barefoot and straight into the garden to start my day with some homemade golden milk (recipe by @jasminehemsley). I’m getting married at this house in just two months time so the next few days is all about planning and spending time with my fiance and family – heaven!
Hmmm which bikini to wear… I usually start summer in corals and blacks before taking on white once I’ve got a serious tan. These beautiful bikinis are both from online boutique Beach Flamingo. It’s run by my friend and girlboss, Lily, and there is so much to choose from! I’m so excited to finally pair my beach look with my brand new Elizabeth Scarlett Palmier Taupe Travel Bag and this fresh jungle leaf headband. They each launch this month on elizabethscarlett.com.
Just look at that sky! When people think of St Tropez they imagine glitz and glam but I love the peace, tranquility and the gorgeous pastel colours. I don’t know whether you’ve noticed but I am a big lover of colour! Walking through the cobbled streets with the sun warming up my skin, I’m drawn into the Senequier Patisserie by the smell of a warm pain au chocolat! One of our favourite things to do here is sit along the port and watch the world go by.
A pit stop for tonight’s dinner. This market inspired my pineapple print two years ago. There’s nothing like strolling up and down each aisle surrounded by vibrant colours and the aroma of sweet tropical fruits. My family and I really enjoy going to the market to see all the chatty sellers who are always smiling and ready to show you something new. It’s no surprise that we leave with our bags full!
Every time we are here, I walk past this boutique and get such an urge to dive into this pile of softies. You can see where my inspiration for my cushions have come from! After a colourful lunch of crudites and a few glasses of rosé at Le Club 55, I head down to the beach to dip my toes in the sea with my fiance @alexpetrides. (It’s still too chilly to go all the way in.) After that we settle down and I read a few chapters of To the Moon and Timbuktu by Nina Sovich – a must read if you dream of exploring Africa like I do!
I’ve fallen in love with this floppy hat and white dress. I may have found a new holiday outfit! I also bumped into a a lovely lady with two of the most gorgeous French bulldogs – they were just adorable. I think it’s safe to say that Alex and I will definitely be getting a little pup after our honeymoon! Can’t wait to have a bundle of fluff of my own.
This is my favourite bathroom in the world. I grew up in it and hope to grow old in it. I’ll take a bath over a shower any day. The blues and greens are so calming. I’m using my Watamu Turtle Pouch this trip (where 100% of profits go to support the local ocean trust) to hold all my essentials. I’m also burning my Ananas pineapple & passion flower candle for extra bath-time bliss.
I grew up spending my summers taking evening strolls in Port Grimaud. At the time, my grandparents lived down here. Every house is painted a different colour with contrasting shutters – the dream! My grandparents cosy nook was called ‘The Little Pink House’ and I loved it. Through the years it never changes here, not even since my mum was walking around with me in my buggy 28 years ago! We wander around the town enjoying the warm evening as we make our way to Le Table du Mareyeur for some delicious food and live music on the canal.
