Meet the Makers: Behind the Etsy Box Designs…

You might have noticed that things are a little different at Birchbox this August… Yes, we’ve teamed up with Etsy – and TEN of their incredible sellers – to create a collection of unique box designs. Here’s the story behind the boxes from the makers themselves – and our top product picks from their beautiful Etsy shops…

Nikki Strange

Specialising in beautiful and whimsical prints using watercolours and inks to capture her love for nature, Nikki’s design is inspired by open celestial skies. Incorporate those sultry blues, deep violets and shimmering stars into your space with her A4 Stardust Print in the same design.

Hannah Richards Design

Hannah works with paper collage and ink to create contemporary abstract designs in bold bright colours and simple shapes – just like her Birchbox print! Spread a little of her infectious cheer be sending her Woohoo Greetings Card to a loved one.

The Lovely Drawer

With experience as a freelance designer, stylist and crafter, the inspiration for Teri’s box design came from playing around with inks – and had a great response on Instagram! Treat your iPhone to a stylish upgrade with her Brush Stroke Phone Case in the same playful print.

Natalie Lea Owen

Natalie creates patterned stationery and homeware in bright and contemporary colours. Her aim for her Birchbox design was for a fun and happy pattern – mixing abstract shapes with textured botanicals in cheerful colours. Turn heads when you take this month’s beauty treats with you on-the-go with her Monstera Leaf Print Make-Up Bag.

Holly Maguire UK

The inspiration for Holly’s box design comes from lazy Sunday afternoons spent in your PJs indulging in a little relaxation and pampering. Her prints contain lots of botanicals, patterns, and characters – much like this A3 Nature Bloom Art Print. A beautiful addition to any corner of your home!

Lucy Says I Do

Inspired by her love of print and paper, Lucy’s focus is on thoughtful design, playful patterns and illustrations. Her bright floral box design is inspired by the feeling of sunshine on your face. Tying the knot? Check out her Bright Flowers Wedding Stationery for similarly sunny vibes.

Ambers Textiles

A serious nature love, Amber’s vibrant designs combine botanical prints and jungle influences – reflecting her interest in gardens and nature books. Take a walk on the wild side, from the comfort of your own home, with her Playful Jungle Cushion.

Constance & Clay

Founder Holly combined her love of designing bold imagery to create a quirky graphic floral print for her August box design. Add a little fun to your desk with this Weekly Planner Pad in the same bold motif.

Jade Fisher

Inspired by her love for American folk art, Jade paints all of her creations herself. The aim of her box design was to celebrate the power and fun of female friendship. Share the love with her You Rock! Friendship Card. We love the quote emblazoned on the back of the leather jacket!

The Fox In The Attic

After Michelle decided to try her hand on a sewing machine, The Fox In The Attic was born. Her playful ice cream and biscuit box design has us dreaming of English summer parties. Little ones will love it too thanks to her whimsical Biscuit Baby Rattles – the perfect baby shower gift!
