ICYMI, last week we hosted a very special Facebook Live with Bobbi Brown’s Senior PRO Artist, Hannah Martin. (Psst.. you can still catch it here if you haven’t already!) Hannah joined our very own Senior Social Media Executive, the gorgeous Penny, to chat all things make-up and show us how we can achieve a professional finish at home using Bobbi Brown. So, without further ado, here’s what we learnt…
DAY TO NIGHT
Thanks to its ultra-creamy, waterproof formula, the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick is our new go-to when it comes to creating an all-day eye look. Hannah used the shade Golden Bronze all over Penny’s eyes by swiping it straight onto her eyelid then buffing the edges out with a fluffy brush. (Top tip – your fingers are also a great tool for blending the shadow out, too!) Come evening, or when you just fancy more of a smokey look, use the tip of the shadow stick to take the colour beneath the lash line. Add a coat (or few!) of the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara and you’re good to go. Psst… another top tip from Hannah! Turn the mascara wand vertically to catch the smaller, lower lashes.
SMOKE IT OUT
We’ll admit, we couldn’t wait to hear what Hannah’s top tips were for perfect eyeliner application – we don’t always have the steadiest of hands! Bobbi Brown’s iconic Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner was used to define Penny’s eyes during the Facebook Live, and we couldn’t believe the difference it made. Hannah coated the Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush in product then used the side of the brush to push short strokes of product into the lash line. This way, there’s no risk of creating an odd-looking shape as you’re following the normal shape of our eye. If you’re after a more dramatic eye look (or you’ve made a mistake!) just buff out the edge of the line for a smokey effect.
There’s nothing like finishing your look with a pop of colour, and you can’t get more playful than the Bobbi Brown Art Stick. Hannah even let us into a little secret with this one – it’s actually a multi-purpose product! Perfect if you’re travelling over the festive season. Enriched with shea butter, the formula is super-creamy and comfortable on the skin. Use the tip to line your lips (no need for a separate lip liner here!) then colour in for beautifully matte lip. Complete your look by scribbling some of the colour onto the apples of your cheeks and then blending the edges out with your fingertips for a subtle flush.
